Mooie voorjaarsbloeiende vaste plant met kleurrijke, semi-groenblijvende, pollen vormende planten. Uitstekend voor de vroege lenteborder. De bloemen verschijnen vanaf het einde van de winter tot in het voorjaar in trossen. Zaaien onder glas in zaaibakje of in de volle grond op zaaibed. Dun uitzaaien, verspenen en uitplanten. Geschikt voor de rotstuin, borders en potten.
