Rijkbloeiende planten met vele dubbelbloemige kleuren, die in het Nederlandse klimaat niet winterhard zijn. Kiemt gemakkelijk (al vroeg in het voorjaar zaaien op de vensterbank). De jonge plantjes zijn redelijk kwetsbaar en lastig te verplanten. Zaai ze dus niet te dicht! Laag kruipend gewas, dus goede bodembedekker en zeer droogtebestendig. Uitplanten dus op een zonnig en warm plekje. Voor de rotstuin, potten en perken.
