Zijdeachtige, trompetvormige bloemen verschijnen in grote aantallen. De bloei bevorderen door de verwelkte bloemen tijdig te verwijderen. Ruby Regis is diep karmijn-roze. Zaaien onder glas in zaaibak of in de vollegrond op plantenbed. Uitplanten als de planten voldoende groot zijn. De planten houden van een warme droge plaats. Geschikt voor borders, perken, achtergrondbeplanting en als snijbloem.
