’s Zomers kan vers, diepgroen blad met een verfijnde muntsmaak worden geplukt. Lekker in salades, soepen, groente- en vleesgerechten. Van verse of gedroogde blaadjes kan men een verfrissende thee zetten. Het is een heerlijk geurend kruid en de bloemen trekken bijen en vlinders aan. Zaaien onder glas of direct in de vollegrond, eventueel verspenen en op plaats van bestemming uitplanten. Vraagt een licht humeuze, vochtige standplaats.
