Indien een rank te lang wordt, deze resoluut afsteken. Hierdoor houdt u de plant in toom. Zaaien onder glas in potten of zaaibakjes op warmte, afharden en uitplanten. Pompoenen houden van voedzame grond. Pas op voor nachtvorst.
