Lage, kussenvormende planten. Vanaf eind maart tot ver in juni zijn de planten overdekt met bloemen. Tinten in blauw en paars, maar ook roze, rode variëteiten. De aubrieta’s zijn toe te passen tussen stenen en tegels, hangend over muurtjes en in plantenbakken. Zaaien in de volle grond of op zaaibed. In de nazomer op plaats van bestemming zetten.
