Amsterdamse donkergroene kan onder glas en in de vollegrond worden geteeld. Is fijner van blad en steel dan de Gewone Snij. Zeer aromatisch en mooi compact van plant. Bij het oogsten van het blad, het hart van de plant niet wegsnijden. Snijselderij heeft een pittige smaak en is vooral geschikt voor wintergerechten. Koken schaadt het aroma en breekt de vitaminen af, dus voeg het pas toe op het laatste moment.
