Donker scharlakenrode tinten met duidelijke zwarte vlek, ook wel AvondRood genoemd. De bloemen van de viooltjes zijn eetbaar. In principe zijn alle viooltjes tweejarig, maar de eenjarige cultuur is aan te raden. Vroeg in het voorjaar zaaien, eventueel onder koud glas, verspenen of direct van het plantbed uitplanten op plaats van bestemming. Geel gearceerd is tweejarige teelt.
