Een vaste plant met fijne stengels en klein, donkergroen blad. Kleine witte voorjaarsbloempjes, die door hun sluierachtige bloeiwijze voor een prachtig effect zorgen. Het zijn dan ook leuke, luchtige vulbloemen voor boeketten. Voorkeur voor kalkhoudende, goed doorlatende grond. Afdekken in de winter is raadzaam. Prima snij- en droogbloem. Bloeit in het 2e jaar.
